Description

French toast is a dish made of sliced bread dipped in a mixture of eggs and milk, and then cooked in a hot pan with a little butter. While traces of this dish can be found in many culinary cultures around the world, it has traditionally been a popular dessert that is also a waste-saver, since it is made with stale bread. Over time, chefs have revisited the recipe, making it their own by adding spices or using brioche instead of bread.

Cocotine French Toast is a frozen product. It can be stored for up to 18 months at -18°C. Before serving, simply reheat it for 20 minutes in a steam oven, 3 minutes in the microwave or 3-4 minutes in a toaster to make in nice and crunchy.

French Toast | Cocotine

Chocolate & Banana French Toast

  • Cut the banana into slices.
  • Reheat the Cocotine French Toast.
  • Place the banana on top of the slices of French toast.
  • Drizzle some melted chocolate on top.
  • Serve warm.

You can also adapt this recipe by using other ingredients like seasonal fruit or by replacing the chocolate with salted caramel.
