According to regulations, these laying hens must have access to an outdoor chicken run and must be given 100% organic feed.

Good to know 
In France, the EGAlim Law sets objectives for the proportion of products purchased to create institutional catering meals, with an obligation to guarantee at 50% high-quality, sustainable ingredients, of which at least 20% must be organically farmed. Our organic egg products are a great way to help you meet this obligation.

Cocotine’s organic egg value chain: Our sustainability commitment to you

Cocotine’s production of organic eggs and egg products is based on virtuous agricultural and industrial processes. As a Eureden Group brand, Cocotine collaborates with more than 230 co-op farmers, all of them committed to an approach rooted in animal welfare and sustainability. Organic farms are differentiated by lower population densities (a maximum of 6 hens per m² of space), daily access to outdoor chicken runs with plenty of vegetation, and local feed that is certified GMO-free. Other types of alternative farms (free-range or animal welfare cage-free) are enabling the brand to gradually eliminate the use of cages.  

Thanks to the close proximity between our production sites and our farms, Cocotine is able to limit the environmental impact of our transport whilst guaranteeing the freshness of our products. Our egg processing sites are also adopting eco-responsible practices such as heat recovery for heating purposes, natural lighting and optimised water usage. These efforts go hand in hand with the brand’s sustainable development policy, which aims to minimise our environmental impact whilst delivering flawless products.
